Riaz (UrduPoint Newspaper-May 10, 2019) Saudi Arabia has eliminated several decades of the Kafail system and has replaced it with 'green card' system.

 This news is being seen very well-known by foreigners in the country. While foreign businessmen and investors are expressing a lot of happiness on the issue of this new system.

Due to the green card residential scheme

, now foreign-based foreigners will not have to stay under a Saudi employer or a Kafil. Green card residential scheme approved by the Saudi Council on Wednesday

. Due to this move, a number of foreign investors and entrepreneurs will come to Saudi Arabia.

There are also a few conditions to benefit from this Scheme, including no non-criminal records, qualifying passports, health reports and good credit reports.

Under the Green Card Resident Scheme, two categories have been set up, including temporary accommodation and extended environments. Due to the new system's arrangement, foreigners will get many benefits. Those who are eligible for this system will have specific lines on the airport. People with green card schemes 

will not be able to go out of the country and get back on their return.

This scheme will provide employment opportunities in private sector, commerce and industry. Foreigners will also be able to provide

 their property and transportation in the state and they will be able to recruit employees as well. Thus many decades of old envelope system ended, where foreign-based foreigners had to work under an employee or a worker under a contract.
